The Mina Project
Recently, Pastor Mike Lee of Hope Community Church in Cary, NC taught his congregation about The Parable of the Minas from Luke 19:11-27. After the lesson, the congregation of over 4,000 people was given a total of $50,000. They were told to take the money and find ways to multiply it and return in October with the results. The goal is to turn the $50,000 into $400,000! The money raised would then be donated to several local charities including a large portion to the Hope for Haiti Foundation so they can purchase and renovate two buildings in Bainet, Haiti. One building will be transformed into a hospital that will serve an estimated population of 500,000 destitute Haitians. The second building will be renovated and used as a dormitory for housing missionaries, doctors and nurses.
This is a tremendous offering on the part of Hope Community Church and its congregation. We are spreading the word and opening the door for anyone who would like to make a huge difference in the lives of the desperate people of Haiti.
